Introduction
Bank of China Frankfurt Branch debit card is a safe and convenient modern e-payment instrument integrating the functions of savings, deposit and withdrawal, ATM services and card payment. It fits not only for cash payment and cash withdrawal in Germany, but also for overseas travel and business activities.
Functions
1. EMV chip is embedded in the card, making personal information safer.
2. Withdrawal can be made around the clock on more than 1 million ATMs with the Maestro logo in the world without being subject to service hour restraints, enabling fast and easy personal financial management.
3. Card payment can be made at more than 5 million appointed merchants with "Maestro" logo at the preferential exchange rate offered by Maestro, thus saving a lot of trouble of carrying cash.
4. The maximum daily ATM cash withdrawal of EUR 2,000 and the maximum daily consumption amount at appointed merchants of EUR 5,000.
5. Password can be changed at the counter with the card.
6. At the time of inquiry, account opening and card opening via telephone banking, Bank of China Frankfurt Branch can provide services in multiple languages including Chinese, English, German, Italian, French and Spanish.
7. Bank of China overseas online banking function allows easy inquiry of the balance on the debit card linked account and other accounts, as well as transfer, remittance and exchange transactions.

9. Deposit and withdrawal in EUR with the card is free of charge at the counter.

Procedure
Customers who wish to apply for a card or a bank account need to process the application at Bank of China's Frankfurt Branch or Hamburg Branch with valid identity documents and local resident register certificate. Bank of China will waive the account management fee and card issuance fee for students (with student ID) who apply for an account or card. The password for the debit card may either be taken at the bank by the customer with his/her identity document, or be mailed to his/her registered address free of charge.
