Recently, Bank of China was awarded “China’s Best Bond Underwriter” by Euro Money, demonstrating its outstanding strength in direct financing market.
This award was measured by Euro Money considering the performances from late March of 2011 to early April of 2012 and innovation capability of banks of all countries. Bank of China ranked the first by virtue of its predominant advantages in market share and total issuance in China’s bond market.
In recent years, Bank of China has been strengthening the construction of key product line of bond underwriting business, and has seized the advantageous opportunity for the further expansion of debt financing instrument market of non-financial business. The overall performances have been notably improved. In the first half of 2012, the total issuance of open market of Bank of China retained the first in the market; the market share reached 14.6%; issuance and number of medium term note also retained the first in the market.
